The sound of scribbling fills the air as more words are imprinted upon the parchment in Excane's hands. [Excane]

Hyinnis enters the council room, trailled by 4 pirates.  "Speak'r Excane, Ah ave news o' de slavin'... a wor', please?"

Excane looks up from his writing, eyes slightly glowing a red tint. "Of course, Captain. Tell your comrades to check their weapons at the door. What of the slave mission?"

Hyinnis looks troubles at Excane, "Speak'r, ah'm sorry.  Dey'll be lea'in naw."

The pirates quickly exit the room, shutting the door behind them. [Hyinnis]

Excane hmms in approval.

Hyinnis frowns. "Speak'r, the slaavin' were o' great vic'ory, ah'm pleaseda report..."

Hyinnis says, "Bu' de half-ogres met us der... and we took some losses."

Excane raises his chin. "How many?"

Hyinnis says "35 deed, 45 woun'ed an anoter 25 missin"

Muffles sounds from behind the door are heard.  Slowly the door opens and reveals a figure in a cloak.

Excane's eyes widen. "You met the half-ogres at the shatter--" He turns. And sees. And stops.

Hyinnis looks at Excane curiously... "Speak'r...?"

Zoes speaks lightly, "Hello there." He removes his cloak from his head.

Hyinnis gasps in astonishment.

Hyinnis draws his saber and steps between Excane and Zoes.

Hyinnis wonders 'What do you want, Zoes!  To betray us?'

Zoes says to Excane, 'Tell him put his weapon down.'

Zoes opens his cloak revealing no weapons.

Hyinnis raises an eyebrow at you.

Excane nods towards the new-comer, and motions Hyinnis back. "I pictured you taller. As you can see there is no trap. But there is no council. You shall meet with me and Hyinnis only. Do sit. Make yourself at home"

Hyinnis glances back at Excane, "Speak'r?"

Excane nods in agreement to Hyinnis.

Excane says 'Do it.'

Hyinnis frowns.

Excane says 'Now.'

Hyinnis says 'Yes, speaker'

Hyinnis returns his saber to its place.

Hyinnis wonders 'What's going on, Excane?'

Zoes walks in slowly, "You, I feel is the only one I need to talk to."  He then looks towards the door and whisltes.
The door shuts with a slam.

Zoes says 'Just to be sure there is no trap, I have one of my Dragons outside the door'
Hyinnis jumps at the sound.

Hyinnis exclaims 'My men!'

Zoes say 'Your men are meerly sleeping'

Zoes says 'Do not worry about them.'

Excane says 'Hyinnis is a councillor, but also a pirate captain, as I'm sure you've deduced.'

Excane says 'He was the one to collect the slaves. He is integral in this discussion.'

Hyinnis looks uneasily at the door.

Hyinnis wonders 'Excane, what's going on?'

Excane says 'Well...'

Excane says to Hyinnis, 'Hyinnis, meet Zoes.'

Zoes looks towards Hyinnis, then back to Excane.

Hyinnis glances at Zoes. "I do not understand..."

A wry smile appears upon the Speaker's face.

Hyinnis raises an eyebrow at Excane.

Zoes looks around the room, "I am not here as an enemy. BUT...*pause* It is up to you if I leave as one."

Zoes looks towards Excane.

Hyinnis says 'We are not the one's who promised war, Zoes..."'

Excane says 'Hyinnis.'

Hyinnis says 'Yes speaker, sorry.'

Excane exclaims 'Zoes has offered us warning, and has come here of his own volition. We shall greet him as gith greets gith. Let us discuss some business then!'

Hyinnis says to Zoes, 'I apologize, its just that your reputation is not... the best...'

Hyinnis wonders 'What business are we to discuss?'

Zoes say 'My reputation to all is known only by my letters'

Excane says 'Hyinnis.'

Hyinnis frowns.

Zoes say 'There are only 5 others that has seen be besides you....'

Hyinnis wonders 'You have allies in this land?'

Zoes stops and looks for a spot to sit.

Excane says 'Ah, Let me take care of that for you, Zoes.'

Zoes then looks up quickly, "Why of coarse, I have my Dragons."

Chairs materialize as incantations flow as if from nowhere. The only indication of magic is the glow emitted from Excane's eyes.

Excane says 'Captain, Sir Zoes, do have a seat.'

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Hyinnis sits down.

Excane sits.

Zoes smiles and takes rest on a chair. "I'm kind of tired right now, I just came from Irryibis."

Exane's eyes widen. "Word of that event has reached my ears."

Zoes say to Excane, 'In of which, I have saved this Nation greatly'

Excane wonders 'How so?'

Zoes says to Excane, 'I'm sure you haven't heard of the newest, since it meerly only happened but an hour ago.'

Excane wonders 'The newest?'

Zoes says 'The elven nation has now grown weaker.'

Zoes grins at Excane.

Hyinnis frowns.

Zoes looks towards Hyinnis then back to Excane, "I attacked them first because they threated your nation."

Hyinnis wonders 'You... protected us?'

Zoes says to Excane, 'I let a famine among their island, destroying nearly half of the island's crops'

Hyinnis says 'But... I was under the impression you were to destroy us as the rest...'

Excane says 'Hyinnis.'

Zoes says 'I did that after my beasts died after a large battle.'


Hyinnis is dying of thirst!


Hyinnis drinks water from a dragonskin.

Zoes says 'You are my blood.'

Excane says 'Sir Zoes, you have surveyed the sands before, I'm sure.'

Zoes says 'I'd rather give you an option first'

Excane says 'Or had view of them somehow. You have seen the fervor with which we have revived.'

Excane says 'Before that option is given, let me ask you'

Excane wonders 'Why help us? Why protect us?'

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Hyinnis wonders 'Yes, why?'

A hungry wind sweeps through the valley, choking all life in curtains of dust.

Zoes stands up and walks from the chairs and waves his hands.
The chairs fizzle from underneat the two sitting giths.

Hyinnis falls to the ground, shocked.

Hyinnis rises up.

Hyinnis exclaims 'What the...!'

Excane levitates in a sitting position. "Interesting."

Zoes turns around as the gith falls. "Because, you are not ready for everything"

Hyinnis wonders 'Do you still plan to destroy us?'

Zoes shakes his head.

Zoes says 'I have done no such planning'

Excane stands "What planning have you done?"

Zoes begins to walk slowly, "My plans have only been with the other nations, how I'm going to destory them. I haven't chose a plan yet for my own kind."

Excane sneers in contempt.

Excane says 'The nations...'

Zoes raises is voice, "That is my option to you. I have decided for you to pick what happens."

Excane says 'What are the options you give me and our people?"'

Zoes says 'Actually easy option'

Zoes turns and leans against the door, "Join me and destory the others along my side or Have the nation tear you apart, and if they fail, I wont be far behind"

Zoes says 'It is only time others relize what I'm able to do.  They will come destory you quick so they can deal with me.  The elves I have weakend, and must now try to replenish there crops.'

Zoes says 'I'm not sure what I can do to stop the rest unless you reside next to me.'

Excane turns, taking this information in.

Hyinnis looks at Zoes, then Excane.

Excane chuckles politely.

Hyinnis says to Excane in a low voice, "I have sought to bring the others to their knees around the Gith people for quite some time.  If you follow him, Excane, so will I."

A lonely cry falls from the doors outside. 

Zoes grins.

Hyinnis whispers to Excane, "My sword, my ships, my life, are yours to command."


The lightning stops as the rainstorm becomes a blinding blizzard.

Zoes says 'Also if you decline, your army will be greatly reduced before I leave.'

Hyinnis looks toward the door. "What was that!"

Hyinnis moves quickly toward the door.

Excane rests his head in his hand. Ignoring the noise he speaks "I have never questioned the loyalty of the gith people. I have alwas believed that our survival lay in our unity..."

Zoes continues to lean against the door. "I wouldn't go out there."

Hyinnis looks troubledly at Zoes, "My... my crew?"

Excane turns, facing Zoes. "Call your dragon back. If we were to unite in a campaign of world conquest, we have many details to discuss before this night is over!"

Zoes looks towards the two, "The crew is safe unless I give an order to destory. He's merely playing with them.  And yes, many details are to be discussed."

Hyinnis steps back from the door, then returns to the center of the room.

Excane says 'The Nations turned their backs on us when we needed them.'

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

The necklace around Zoes neck begins to glow lightly as another scream is heard.

Excane exclaims 'Zoes!'

Zoes raises an eye.

Hyinnis looks sharply at the door.

Zoes says 'Don't worry, the Dragons are nearly playing with them in their dreams.'

Zoes says 'no physical harm is done.'

Excane lowers his voice "Of all the races, we should know what damage can be done with mental pain. Let the crew go, we have slaves your dragon can toy with"

Excane says 'Also, the time for playing is over. Let us discuss.'

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Zoes looks towards Excane, "I don't think your in any postion to tell me what to do. But I guess it dosn't matter."

The cries from behind the door are no more. [Zoes]

Hyinnis seems to breath a little easier.

Hyinnis wonders 'What matters are to be discussed?'

Excane's eyes narrow and his lips purse. "I shall not lie. Fear has been struck. But don't think I am incapable of a fight despite it"

Excane says 'And'

Excane's features relax. "If we are to unite, the threats between us must go"

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Zoes says 'The unity would have full protection of my forces, and that means I must have full control of your forces, when I need them.'

Hyinnis frowns at what you did.

Excane says 'You will have full support from my forces, and no soldier shall hold back upon my general's commands.'

Hyinnis says 'I must lead my men, Zoes, many of them have never followed another.'

Excane says 'You will lead, Hyinnis. Zoes will simply tell you where to lead them.'

Excane says 'As I'm sure that's what he meant...'
Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Zoes nods his head, "I don't want the army. . ." glances towards Excane, "I want control of Hyinnis."

Excane takes in a quick breath of air. "What?"

Hyinnis looks at Zoes.  "I pledge my allegience to Excane and the Gith nation.  If you have orders for me, you must go through him..."

A cry is heard from outside.

Zoes says 'That is not what I wanted to hear.'

Hyinnis frowns.  "Stop it..."

Excane says 'What kind of control.'

Zoes grins slightly, "When battle comes, and only battle comes." he pauses "I want _complete_ control of Hyinnis until the end of that battle"

Hyinnis raises an eyebrow.

Hyinnis wonders 'You mean you want in my mind?'

Zoes nods, "In a way"

Hyinnis wonders 'In what way?'

Zoes looks towards the two. "I myself, am not a fighter.  I never show myself during a battle.  I always...lets say find a host and fight through them."

Hyinnis exclaims 'I'd be your puppet!'

Zoes says 'Well, in this case. Not totally.'

Zoes shakes his head.


Excane wonders 'For the protection of my nation, for the conquest of the world, I must send to you a single Captain?'

Zoes says to Excane, 'Yes, that is all I want.'

Hyinnis says to Excane, 'For the good of the nation... I will submit to this, if you command it.'

Zoes says 'This case, I would only be in your mind. Not controlling, only seeing what you see and think.'

Zoes says 'And you will hear what I think.'

Hyinnis nods in agreement with you.

Excane wonders 'Well, Hyinnis?'

Hyinnis says 'That is acceptable.'

Zoes says to Excane, 'and there is one more thing also.'

Hyinnis raises an eyebrow.

Zoes stares towards the ceiling.

Excane raises his eyebrow. "What would this be?"

Zoes reaches in his cloak slowly and pulls out a jar. Inside the jar is a small worm looking creature.

Zoes says 'This must be inside your head.'

Hyinnis frowns.

Excane says 'Never.'

Hyinnis wonders 'What... why?'

A Scream is heard from outside.

Zoes says to Excane, 'You army out there are sitting ducks, each answer I don't like, will result in one less for you.'

Excane says 'Though they look to me as leader, no amount of pain will move me to accept blackmail.'

Excane says 'I have given you a captain.'

Zoes says to Excane, 'As I thought.'

Hyinnis says to Excane, 'Speaker, the lives of our men...'

Excane says 'You have the full support of my soldiers.'

Excane says 'This is sufficient.'

Excane wonders 'Do we have a deal, then?'

Zoes shake your head.

Zoes says to Excane, 'You still lead the army.'

Zoes says 'I need to somehow keep an eye on you.  Not meaning I don't trust you, but I have no time to have an error of my actions.'

Zoes puts the jar away, "How about this."

Zoes clicks his fingers.
A small gremlin bearing your visage cackles quietly.

Zoes's gremlin says 'Now what is it'

Excane says '_That_ is not going in my head.'

Zoes laughs.

Excane grins.

You shake your head.

Hyinnis grins.

Zoes says 'It will follow you around'

Excane says 'The gremlin will do perfectly.'

Zoes says 'Then I believe my side of the deal is fine.'

Zoes's gremlin exclaims 'I have to do what, with him!'

Excane says 'Zoes' gremlin appears to be an excitable creature.'

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Zoes's gremlin says 'Ok, Ok, I'll do it'

Zoes's gremlin frowns.

Excane laughs.

Zoes's gremlin mutters to himself about lieing what he hears.

You raise an eyebrow at it.

Splinters of oblivion and hellfire engulfs the gremlin.
The gremlin is DEAD!!
A gremlin screams in pain as its body suddenly catches fire.
After a moment all that is left is dust that is quickly blown away.

You hrm. Hrm.

Excane takes a step back.

Hyinnis drinks water from a dragonskin.


Hyinnis raises an eyebrow.

Zoes says 'Sorry, My temper was maxed.'

Hyinnis brushes a little dust off of his sleeve.

Zoes snaps his fingers again.

Excane- "I see"

A small gremlin bearing your visage cackles quietly.

Zoes's gremlin smiles happily.

Zoes's gremlin says 'Whatever you want'

Zoes wonder 'Ok, so deal?'

Excane says to Zoes's gremlin, 'Good.'

Zoes says to Zoes's gremlin, 'Now go hide'

Released from its master, Zoes's gremlin scurries away.

Zoes says 'He is always there watching you Excane.  You have approved of it.  He will be in your dreams, and your bedroom.'

Zoes says 'You have a third shadow'

Excane nods. "I see. It is time for the Nations to pay for their former apathy and their current aggression. The Gith have waited long for vindication, and now vindication shall come"

Hyinnis nods in agreement to Excane.

Zoes says to Hyinnis, 'Sorry for your two bodies out there.'

Hyinnis frowns at what Zoes did.

Zoes whistles aloud and the door opens.
Zoes puts his cloak around his head and begins to walk out.

Excane calls out "Guards!" A rush of soldiers block the entryway.

Excane exclaims 'Zoes!'

Hyinnis's face burns with anger.

Zoes turns around towards Excane, "Yes?"


Hyinnis growls, "You killed my men!  How dare you!"

Zoes says to Hyinnis, 'That was your Leaders fault, not mine.'

Excane lowers his voice again "No more of this. Never again shall the claw of your dragon hurt the flesh of our people. No more of this. From now on we fight those outside our race."

Zoes nods his head towards Excane, "Those two where from your wrong answers, and only from that.  I did not kill them you did." He begins to walk towards the guard, "Excane, you shall have these men move"

Hyinnis frowns.

Hyinnis says 'Excane...'

The sky begins to break through the clouds.

Excane raises his head. "Let him pass" The Guards create a pathway.

Excane says 'Captain, I apologise. Your crew has just suffered the first casualties of a long, long war.'

Zoes begins to walk out, "I will be seeing you again soon" and walks into the dessert faiding from view."
